CT Scan, (CT=Computed Tomography -Tomo = cut) is a medical imaging technique that involves measuring the X-ray absorption by tissues and by computer processing, scan and then reconstruct the images in 2D or 3D anatomical structures. To acquire data, the tomographic analysis or « cuts through » technique is employed, by subjecting the patient to a scanning-beam X-ray. A CT scan will determine the extent of nasal septum deviation if necessary. The CT scan can also be used for any other area, sinuses, dental implants, etc…
