Neurofeedback or EEG biofeedback is a technology that emerged in the sixties in the United States.
Here is a quick overview (very simplified): Placing sensors on the head, it is possible to read the electrical signals emitted by the brain. These signals are characteristic of the mental state in which we find ourselves. For example in a relaxed state with eyes closed, the dominant frequency of the signals emitted by the brain is usually between 8 and 13 Hz (« alpha » signals).
If the brain is informed of the dynamics of the signals that it emits, he can learn to correct them spontaneously (with a very sophisticated software) and thus achieve transmit signals stable and balanced, tailored to the needs of the moment. This can help to find a harmonious and top performance and make life much more enjoyable.
